Ink drawing of a sphynx cat

So, 2022 is the year I start doing art again.

I used to love working with ink, so that seems like a good place to start.

And it occurs to me that my daughter has never seen any of my art, so I began a portrait of her Sphynx cat, contrarily named 'Fluffy'

I started just with the head:

And a new technique I've never tried before, using coloured biro for highlights. I think it works really well.

Unfortunately I overdid the shadows and it became too dark, so I compensated for this by cutting it out and mounting it on a black background. Not ideal, but it was the best way to save it. Here it is, finished and framed.

It didn't go to plan at all, but my Daughter, and Fluffy, really like it, so I'm happy.
